The truth is there are thousands who get counseling every day. Just as one
wouldn't place a stigma on a sick person going to a doctor there should be no
stigma attached to one who feels badly emotionally getting help. It is sad that
some live in pain AND isolated from assistance. There's no need to do that.
There are churches and ministries out there that offer outstanding help and
insight in very discreet and caring settings. Northeast Church is one of those.
Most of the counseling is handled by the senior minister who has multiple
degrees and nearly 30 years of counseling experience. Other staff ministers are
duly equipped with the skills to counsel teens, college students, young
marrieds, singles, etc. There's little the Northeast staff has not dealt with.
Referrals can also be made in certain extreme circumstances.
Some of the most common issues today are past and present abuse issues (sexual,
physical, psychological, etc.), addictions (alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex,
etc.), marital conflict, pains of divorce and separation, loss of loved ones,
as well as numerous spiritual challenges. There are many lay members equipped
to provide outstanding assistance and support in addition to the ministry
staff. Church elders are also available as time permits to assist members as
well as newcomers with all sorts of life issues. Small groups around the
northeast metroplex also provide valuable support, guidance, and insight.
Don't be alone with lingering emotional, psychological, or spiritual challenges.
Everyone has them. Give us a call if you would like to see if we could help.
